What you need to do

Make an appointment

Please leave your:
 name, phone number, and the date you wish to get married.

Bring your documents

  • Original copies of the Louisiana Marriage license (see below for more information) 
  • Valid identification (groom, bride, Wali, & witnesses)

Who needs to attend?

  • The groom and the bride
  • Two Muslim witnesses
  • Wali (guardian of the bride)

LOUISIANA MARRIAGE LICENSE

Marriage Licenses are issued by the Clerk. A license may be issued in any parish, regardless of which parish the ceremony is to be performed or where the parties reside. (R.S. 9:222)
